Roles and Responsibilities 

• Accurate entry of Patient Demographic information as provided in medical records. 
• Apply medical billing concepts, Federal and commercial insurance plans including HMO, PPO, and POS guidelines. 
• WC/Auto claims should be handled with the specific guidelines related to this insurance. 
• Charge entry should be done according to the procedures mentioned on record. 
• Communicate and work well in a team environment. 
• Meet established production and quality goals/metrics. 
• Able to effectively prioritize work on a daily basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Graduate with 1-3 years experience in patient demographic entry, insurance verification, checking, and resolution of basic edits.  
• Have a good understanding of US Healthcare medical billing rules, abbreviations, and state-specific insurance guidelines. 
• Good Typing speed – 30-35 WPM and understanding of Western naming conventions. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Apps like Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
